How to Choose the Right Tog

Measure Room Temperature
Use a room thermometer to check your baby's sleep environment. Dress baby appropriately underneath the sleep sack.
Consider Season
Lightweight togs (0.5-1.0) for summer, medium (1.5-2.0) for spring/fall, and warm (2.5-3.5) for winter.
Layer Appropriately
Adjust baby's clothing under the sleep sack based on tog rating and room temperature.
Check for Overheating
Feel baby's chest or back - should be warm, not hot or sweaty. Adjust tog or layers as needed.
